Go out of town for a lawyer.

All throughout my case I never felt that I had a good lawyer. I was lied to and thought to be a fool. Mr. Peterson came to represent me, and I asked about a prior case in another County and he pretended like he made a phone call to the other office where I had the case at to seem like he had a good r...elationship with them when she really didn't and he thought I was stupid enough to believe it. Then he tells me that I can please out for 6 years if I didn't I would go to trial. So I plead out and got to the courthouse and the judge throws ten years at me like it was bread to ducks. Then mr. Peterson said something to me in the interview that we had alone he got upset with me because I kept asking him about other cases and he yelled that I was a one-man Wrecking Crew who was out there causing havoc and in the instance I had a fall partner which was already should have let me know something was up. I would suggest going out of town to get representation, they all work together, the DA, Attorneys, all of them local golf buddies. Stay out of town with representation. I guess because he was court appointed he really didn't care.

Sometimes good people make mistakes, and I am there to help them. Sometimes good people are angry at their choices and choose to place blame elsewhere, which is the easiest thing to do. I am sorry this person has had a rough time and is angry at his or her choices. I forgive him or her for bearing false witness. I hope they can find peace in their life.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
