OUTCOME: Successfully defeated alimony in 30 year marriage
Helped a working husband successfully defeat a claim for alimony by his non-working wife. The parties were married for more than thirty years.
OUTCOME: Successful Criminal Defense
I represented a client in a first degree murger charge involving complex DNA issues. The case was resolved with the Defendant saving potentially many years on his sentence. A very good outcome.
OUTCOME: Eight Months instead of Eight Years
I represented a Detroti Area man who was charged with Assualut with Intent to Commit Murder. Even though the victim was stabbed and nearly blead to death, I was able to work out a plea agreement with ... the Prosecutor's office that resulted in the Defendant being sentenced to twelve months in the county jail. The client did eight months then was released. He was able to keep his job, wife and pension.
OUTCOME: Man successful in Divorce/Custody Case
I represented a man in a hotly contested divorce action where the parties had three small children and a very lucrative family business. Two principal problems existed 1) custody of the girls and 2) k ... eeping the wife from getting a large part of the business that my client had built. Through aggressive discovery I was able to prove that the wife had been planning the divorce for awhile -- and seeing somebody for years prior to the actual filing. This allowed us to get a fair split on the value of the business. The children were much more difficult as the wife was unreasonable with her proposed visitation. It was not until the children had been seen by a pyschologist that it became apparent that the children were being molested by the wife's boyfriend. The end result is dad ended up with custody.
OUTCOME: Not guilty on all counts
I represented a man who was alleged to have molested his teenage daughter. After Trial the Judge found him not guilty on all counts. (It appears the mother had put the girl up to telling the terrible ... story about her father).
