HIRE THIS MAN

I often recommend Lanhon Odom to people in need of his help. I’m a college student and I made a dumb choice that would have ensured the end of my academic career and potentially any prospective careers post-graduation. Yet, he managed to save me and give me another chance. I am so grateful to Lanhon ...and his hard-working paralegal. They both provided answers to every one of my questions and assured me that they were going to take care of me. They did just that and so much more. I would suggest taking a handful of his business cards with you wherever you go. Five stars are not enough! Thank you, guys!!

Poor Job

I helped pay this attorney for my daughter. He was paid to help with her DWI and to get her an occupation drivers license. The occupational DL he "went to court" to get; did not even take effect until a few days before the 60 days suspension was up. She contacted him numerous times and was "Don't lis...ten them at the DPS office; they don't know what they are talking about." However; they did. Nothing in regards to the DWI or DL went as he told her it would. The DWI; he told her initially could probably be dropped to obstruction of highway. None of this happened; as he was paid to do. She was charged with DWI; one year probation, Breathalyzer in her car for 12 months, community service. In my opinion; she was taken advantage of since she was young and did not know the process/laws. She was told by him that "they don't drop DWI's anymore" after he was paid. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. She trusted what he said and it was not true. They do; in fact; drop them to obstruction of highway; as we recently learned. He was not professional the day of court; I was there. He did not fully inform her of what to expect and misinformed her of what the outcome could have been. We know she made a mistake; but he was paid her legal guidance and failed miserably. I am very dissatisfied with him and feel as though we would have been much better off and received less of a punishment if we gone to court without an attorney and would have saved $2,200.00

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
