Biggest Mistake of My Life

I hired Bryan for a divorce case. I needed specific requests to protect my children among other things. From the first meeting he agreed with my terms of divorce and assured me no way would a judge rule in favor of my husband. For months I submitted evidence, police calls, records, bank statement...s in favor of my requests. Bryan was more than difficult to communicate with, yelling, screaming, cussing. He would constantly yell and interrupt me when explaining the circumstances of my marriage. He yells at his staff as well. I communicated mainly with his wife and secretary. On the day of final decree hearing, he goes over the terms of the final decree and to my horror I find out he has removed the conditions of protecting my family and recovering any money my husband had stolen from me. I had also requested that he ask for my husband to pay for my attorney fees, as he had drawn out our divorce over years, and taken thousands of dollars from me and sent to his country behind my back, which Bryan had agreed too also. He took THAT out of the final decree also. The last meeting we had was a hearing where it was ruled that my husband could not remove our children from the country. At the final decree however, Bryan removed my requests for age limited removal from the country, as child abduction was my concern, and he never discussed this with me and did not fight for me or my children at all in my divorce. My husband got everything he asked for. I was horrified. All that money and time fighting for the safety of my children and to have some restitution from what my husband had taken from me during our marriage, and Bryan dropped it all. I got nothing from my divorce, my children can be taken out of the country and I cant stop them from going AND I am responsible for any outstanding attorney fees. Bryan took my money and did nothing for me. I should have changed lawyers, but he was recommended by a family friend. Hiring him was the biggest mistake of my life and cost me the safety of my children. I will regret it for the rest of my life. Buyer beware.

Your demands were contrary to and in violation of the laws of the State of Texas. You agreed to the entry of the Final Order before God, the Court and all other persons present, evidenced by your signature. You are taking your anger for your ex-husband out on me, in an effort to justify your decision. I understand your frustration with the laws of the State of Texas, however the Court will not rule outside of those laws.
