Stephen Harrison knows construction. He has practiced construction law for 34 years, and is certified in Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Stephen has represented contractors, owners, and design professionals in complex litigation and arbitration. Stephen has taught Construction Law at Texas A&M Law School. He has been repeatedly selected as one of Texas’ “Super Lawyers” in Construction Law by Thomson & Rueters publishers of Texas Monthly Magazine; as one of Tarrant County’s “Elite Attorneys” by the Fort Worth Business Press; and as one of Fort Worth’s “Top Attorneys” by the Fort Worth Magazine. Mr. Harrison graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (with honors), where he was a member of the Texas Law Review and Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity. He has served as a mediator and as an arbitrator in numerous construction law disputes, and is a frequent lecturer on construction law topics. For his service to the construction industry, Mr. Harrison received the Service/Integrity/Responsibility Award from the Associated General Contractors of America, Fort Worth Chapter. Mr. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he was a member of Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi, engineering honor fraternities. He has been a licensed professional engineer in Texas for over 40 years. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Harrison was a practicing engineer and a principal shareholder and officer of a leading local consulting engineering firm. He is a member of the Construction Law Section of the Texas Bar Association. Mr. Harrison was a past director of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. He was certified in Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for 20 years.
