Patrick A. Reardon

Patrick Reardon has practiced corporate, securities and M&A law in Texas for over 30 years.  During that time, he participated in billions of dollars of transactions, including deals led by investors with such well-known names as Bass, Rainwater and others.  Also, he regularly works with companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large public companies.  Transactions on which he has worked include public offerings, private placements, acquisitions of companies and oil and gas and real estate assets, plus mergers and acquisitions and oil and gas acquisitions and dispositions.

In the course of his career, he has served as outside general counsel for a variety of companies, including the holding companies of a large financial institution; a failing energy company that was restructured, recapitalized, refocused on shale exploration and then sold to a NYSE-listed E&P company; and a major distributor of manufactured products in the U.S.

For the first 20 years of his career, he worked in large law firms, first in Dallas and then Fort Worth.  In 1996, he founded The Reardon Firm.

First and foremost, Mr. Reardon emphasizes a personal relationship with clients and their management.  Also, he employs a team approach that enables his firm to work effectively with management, directors, investors, lenders, CPAs, other law firms, investment bankers and other advisors. 

Mr. Reardon stresses a strategic perspective on the practice of law that looks to both immediate and long-term effects of his firm’s advice.  He has worked with some of the top business and investment leaders, and he seeks to employ their innovative problem-solving for firm clients when appropriate.

He stays abreast of current trends in the law and in business by extensive reading and participation in the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee and the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Reardon participates in several non-profits, and he chairs one organization’s audit committee.
