This case was filed by a creditor in two closed bankruptcy cases. At issue was whether or not the bankruptcy court had jurisdiction to re-open the case and issue final orders for the purposes sought b ... y the creditor. After briefing and oral argument, the bankruptcy court found that it did not have jursidiction. The creditor appealed the matter to the district court, sitting as the court of review for the bankruptcy court. After briefing on the matter, the district court agreed that the bankruptcy court did not have jurisdiction, and affirmed the decision of the bankruptcy court.
