Poor Performance

Lydia took this case and talked a good game about this case being frivoulous, without merrit. When I expressed my concern about my ex she replied "you will not be scared again." During the case I received an offer to settle. I declined as, based on Lydia, I felt I had a superior position. Not an ...hour latter while the judge extends the csae, Lydia informs the court that she was going on sabitial in a month and would not be available. This was the first I heard of this. This clearly would have changed my opion concerning the proposed settlement. This borders on malpractice. Further, I never received billings from her to determine the status on my retainor. Also, she failed to stay in contact with me / address my concerns in the weeks leading up to the court date. Now I must find another attorney and start from scratch. I guess my only recource is to report her to the Bar.

Dont USE Lydia Dews if you want the job done RIGHT!!!

I feel like this woman basically took my money and did NOT provide the service I paid her for. She wouldn't call me back for weeks at a time, and she did not give me the outcome I needed. She messed up SEVERAL important, life changing documents!!! DON'T use this lawyer!!!!! If I can SAVE one person... from going through what I went through, then my experience was NOT in vain.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
