My Review for Roger Tafel

I was lucky to have found Roger I had already filed my claim with the insurance company and was denied Long Term Disability coverage via my employee coverage. Roger filed an appeal for me and it was a long waiting game and lot of back and forth between Roger and the insurance company. Roger took v...ideo statements from my doctor and myself and my brother to send in for the appeal. He researched my illness and sent facts from experts to the insurance company. Per Rogers advise I went to a specialist in Dallas and received a letter from him confirming and explaining my disability . Roger worked very hard for me and did win my case. I know that without Roger I would have received nothing. Roger is a good attorney and he is also a friend. and I will refer him to anyone that needs help.

A Smart and Trustworthy Advocate

I hired Roger Tafel to represent me in a real estate fraud claim against the perpetrator of the fraudulent activities and to help recoup losses against title companies. He was thorough, honest, intelligent and fair and helped me successfully navigate through a difficult situation. I would not hesit...ate to hire him in the future for another similar case.

ROGER TAFEL SAVED MY LIFE

An insurance company approved my husband's long term disability benefits. Twenty-four (24) months later, they cut off the insurance and wanted nothing to do with us. Meanwhile, a different attorney was fighting Social Security for his disability, and was having very little success. I spoke with... several lawyers and friends looking for recommendations. I finally received a credible recommendation. We asked this lawyer for a Demand Letter. He told us his fee and we agreed. An appointment was set to pick up the Demand Letter to send it off to the insurance company. I showed up for this appointment. Instead of a Demand Letter, this lawyer put a contract in front of us to hire him as our lawyer. This contract had no expiration date and this lawyer would receive a percentage of EVERY SINGLE CHECK MY HUSBAND WOULD EVER RECEIVE. He totally ignored what he agreed to do. Yes, there are lawyers that have no regard for their clients. I cried for two days. I was speaking with a good friend about our frustration, bad experiences, and the desperation we were experiencing. She referred us to a family member ... a Law Professor at the University Of Michigan. This Professor recommended a specific Dallas law firm. I called this firm and spoke with the Principle Lawyer. This lawyer stated I didn't want him, but one of his associate lawyers that specialized in these type of cases. He turned us over to his associate,Roger Tafel, We met with Roger, and explained our situation. He was far more compassionate and understanding than any of the other lawyers I had spoken with. During this initial visit, Roger told us he could not go further, until he told us something. Roger explained his history with us from "years ago." We were extremely impressed with his, "Up front and honest approach." He had true empathy for us and our situation. We hired Roger and he aggressively represented us. He made an appointment for my husband with an extremely recognized specialist. This was to combat the insurance company's findings. He applied for my husband's medical records, then even met with and interviewed doctors and recorded these interviews. The insurance company fought Roger very hard. It was almost a 2 year fight. Roger had compiled such overwhelming information, the insurance company finally rolled over, paid us for back benefits, and benefits started up again. Roger then went a huge step further. He sent this "Reinstatement of Benefits" letter to the lawyer representing us against Social Security. Within three (3) days, Social Security approved my husband's disability. Roger Tafel kept us informed all along the process. He also was very concerned with what we were going through and encouraged us, no matter what, to make sure our marriage stayed in tact. Roger Tafel is an amazing man, and an outstanding lawyer. During one of my husband's doctor appointments, my husband informed this Specialist the insurance company finally changed their mind. The doctor corrected my husband and said, "The insurance company did NOT change their mind. They were proven they could not win this case." ROGER TAFEL SAVED OUR LIVES.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have worked with Roger on several matters over the years. He is an exceptional trial attorney. He has a knack at finding strengths in his own case and weaknesses in his opponent's case that most lawyers would miss. Roger truly cares about those whom have been victimized and will vigorously provide the representation they deserve."
