I handled a case wherein the custodial mother kept the minor child away from the father. I represented the father. The case took a long time, however, I am happy to say that the father now has sole l ... egal and physical custody of his daughter. She is now in a stable, loving family, is doing well in school, She is confident and well-rounded, and remarkably well-adjusted. The mother does not have any rights to contact the child, or even phone contact. Although as a general rule, children need both parents in their lives, when one parent becomes such a threat to that child [in this case mentally and physically] it is best to shelter the child from that party. It is sad that the mother is not a part of her life, however, this case proves that father's rights will be respected, and the Court can be relied upon to protect minor children, even from well-represented parties.
