Very Disappointed and dissatisfied
I hired Sheila McCoy, the worst decision I ever made. I paid 4100 dollars, and all I have are motions that are not filed. We are going through a pandemic. She wanted me to give an additional 3500 dollars in order for her to get my spouses retirement information. On top of that , she said since my w...
CORRECTED COMMENT: The attorney-client relationship with this gentleman began 11 months ago. At the beginning of the attorney-client relationship, this individual signed a written agreement and paid this attorney 3,500. The former client also paid fees to the district clerk and to another professional affiliated with the case. As a courtesy, this attorney never charged the former client for any text messages or telephone calls that occurred during business hours or after business hours. It was the former client that didn't want to take his dispute before the trial judge. Basically, this individual didn't want to pay for court preparation or court appearances. The discovery process was more time consuming because the gentleman was married for more than 15 years and all major assets were titled in the wife's name. The former client was on notice that the case was contested because he was given electronic copies of the events that occurred in the case (e.g. court filings, correspondence, motions, discovery responses, and initial offers). After serving as this gentleman's attorney for seven months, I sent a written request for an additional retainer in the amount of $3,500. The client chose to retain another local attorney. Shortly thereafter, this attorney mailed a certified letter to the former client that contained a full and final accounting of the services rendered in the case. However, the certified letter was returned to me because the former client declined to accept the certified letter.
"One of the most sincere and diligent attorney in town, Ms. McCoy is dedicated towards her clients, and is always prepared for court."
