Following 29 years as a college professor teaching and doing research in the discipline of Psychology, I enrolled in law school at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Following graduation, my family moved to Longview where I successfully completed the requirements for admission to the Texas Bar. After a time as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Gregg County, I opened a solo practice specializing in family law, probate, guardianships, and criminal law. My goal is to treat each client with the dignity and respect they deserve and to assist them not only with legal mattes but with the emotional issues that come with the legal issues.

"It is a pleasure to work with Jim on any case. He is professional and personal without yielding his clients' positions. Detail-oriented and precise, I never question that he will try to slip something into a decree or order just to see if he can pull it off. I equally breathe a sigh of relief and gear up for battle when I see his name on pleadings."
