Lawyer Gone AWOL

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this lawyer as an attorney-investigator, and I would further extend this for private practice as well. Natasha demonstrated a meager work ethic, paid little attention to detail, the capability of being lackadaisical, and the persona of an inept government lawy...er during a civil rights investigation into a major university. Moreso, Natasha failed to recall facts or accurately review the brief of the case to ensure student rights under the laws enforced by the U.S. Department of Education were protected. It was as if she was unprepared, lazy, and didn’t want to help. Not once during the complaint process did the attorney return correspondences by telephone, voicemail, email, or requests to Zoom invitations. The attorney-investigator made the complainant like an afterthought from the beginning that a supervisory attorney had to cordially remind her that the case was assigned to her to complete. Sadly, Natasha went ends of the earth to hastily dismiss alleged violations and major systemic failure in the university of concern that months later, after significant local and national media attention it became under investigation by the state, a local district attorney, a congressional board, and the FBI. Even worse, the entire U.S. District Court where the public institution is located has recused itself after its embroiled stakeholders were slapped with a spate of lawsuits. Natasha missed the mark on her priorities as a lawyer who should take decisive action swiftly when needed. This review should serve as a wake-up call to this attorney to improve quickly or face action in the future from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Disciplinary Action Board.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
