I have practiced law in throughout Texas since 1997 and am admitted to practice in the following state and federal courts:

My first five years of practice were dedicated to pursuing justice for injured individuals.  In 2002, I began focusing on business litigation.  Over the next 14 years (primarily as a shareholder at a large, highly respected Texas law firm), I gained extensive experience and insight into the operations and legal practices of many businesses, including numerous insurance companies.  In addition to litigation between businesses, I spent significant time litigating insurance disputes involving property and casualty insurance, as well as, health insurance, life insurance, and ERISA benefits. 

Armed with nearly two decades of business and legal insight, I returned to my roots of representing individuals.  My practice is concentrated on zealously and diligently helping people with severe health issues recover the ERISA (or non-ERISA) short-term and long-term disability benefits that their insurance companies wrongfully denied.

I graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla, in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, and from Southern Methodist University-Dedman School of Law, in 1997, with a Juris Doctor (J.D.), cum laude and Order of the Coif (top 10%).
