When I read a positive review on the internet, I wonder if it was really written by the client or someone in the office. For that reason, I'm giving Janet Holeywell-Smith permission to release my phone number to anyone who's interested in speaking with me. Please take the time to read this review. ...I have been writing it for16 years.
Q: What do you call 5000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?
A: A good start!
Q: How can you tell when a lawyer is lying?
A: The lawyer's lips are moving.
Q: What's black and brown and looks good on a lawyer?
A: A Doberman! Lawyers are the butt of many jokes. They rank right there with used car salesman and politicians. When you need a good attorney however, you need a good attorney. Janet Holeywell-Smith is a very best.
I first contacted Janet Holeywell-Smith in August of 1999. My ex wife and the mother of my then 14 year old child moved to Texas. I am the custodial parent. Our son lives with me in another state. Our son was diagnosed with autism and mental retardation. I consider Janet Holeywell-Smith part of my family. So you will have to forgive me; for the rest of this review I will refer to her as Jan. From 1989 when my divorce was final until 1999, I tried to get my ex-wife to do the right thing. I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. Not only did my ex-wife refused to help me support our son; she denied even being his mother. Finally, out of sheer desperation, I contacted Jan's office by phone. I spoke to her directly. She must have talked to me for over an hour. She gave me very sound legal advice. I knew immediately I wanted this woman on my son's team. Needless to say I hired her that afternoon. Almost immediately my ex-wife was persuaded to do the right thing by her son. My son begin receiving monies shortly after hiring Jan. Remember from 1989 when the divorce was final until 1999 when Jan was hired, my son had received no support from his mother. Because my son is special needs, he will require support for the rest of his life. Jan has advocated for my son from that day in August 1999 until today. Literally Jan is filing motions for my son in July of 2016. My son is now 31 years of age. I have never met Jan. She has helped my son without my having to leave my state.
