Biography
Carla Lynn Toney was born and raised in Midland, Texas and traveled extensively with her family where she was exposed to many diverse cultures which later ignited her passion for immigration law. After graduating high school, she attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. At SMU, Ms. Toney studied History and Spanish. While a student at SMU, she participated in a study abroad program in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico where she was able to fully immerse herself in Mexican culture and improve her Spanish. Ms. Toney later attended the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida and received her Juris Doctor degree in May 2005. Currently, Ms. Toney is a Senior Associate with JCP Law Firm in Dallas, Texas where she uses her knowledge and experience to assist the immigrant community in applications for permanent residency, citizenship, deportation defense, and humanitarian visas.
