Ms. Capetillo was opposing counsel. She failed to provide discovery; failed to provide written temp orders as directed by the court; ghosted (failed to respond to telephone, email, or postal communications over a 3 month period); & failed to take her required continuing education units thus being sus...pended from the Bar & unable to practice 4 days before pre-trial & 2-1/2 weeks before trial date. We learned of suspension at the pre-trial. Of course, the trial had to be postponed & new lawyer obtained by spouse. New attorney had to be brought up to speed, discovery needed to be provided again, discovery needed to be requested again, temp orders needed to be drafted, child support/health insurance needed to be agreed as this was omitted during the ghosting period. All the "agains" and ghosting resulted in additional billing equaling more dollars spent to defend & months more of time. She finally got CEUs. Failed again the next year. Cost the spouse extra also.
