Biography
Since 1969, Bill's litigation and transactional practice has primarily involved the construction industry and has focused on representing all phases and members of the construction process, including owners, lenders, contractors, suppliers, specialty contractors, sureties, and design professionals, including the mediation and arbitration of construction disputes, in both public and private projects (commercial, industrial, institutional, residential).
Since 1987, Bill has frequently served as an arbitrator and a court-appointed or party-selected mediator in construction and commercial disputes involving delays, contract interpretation, change orders, design defects, negligence and insurance claims, real estate transactions, mechanic’s lien claims, defective plans and specifications, and bond claims (public and private projects). Bill's experience as an arbitrator includes service as the chair of arbitration panels for construction cases involving millions of
dollars in aggregate claims, as well as probate and employment disputes.
Bill has been rated "AV" - the highest designation for expertise and ethics - by his peers through the Martindale Hubbel peer review system every year since 1979 (the first year he was eligible for peer review).
