there is no requirement for a US citizen to spend any time in a particular country. you are free to maintain your home wherever you wish.

You can withdraw your application by writing to the office where you filed it. Then if your bf is a US citizen apply through him.

You need to start the adjustment of status here in the US while she is here. What you done with NVC is not adjustment.
