you need to obtain your new student visa in your home country. but since you are here you can file for a change of status instead.
Typo in mother's maiden name in marriage certificate for form I-130. Should I get the affidavit for the typo or can I ignore it

usually a small typing error does not matter, but you must also include a copy of the birth certificate so submit both.
Copy of US passport for form I 130 - do ALL the pages of passport need to be copied or just the one page with biographic info?

just the biographical page is sufficient, but you may include the page that was stamped at entry also.
