“Would Not Recommend for Defense”

“I did not feel well represented by this attorney. In my experience, he showed bias and did not put effort into defending me once he formed his own opinion about my case. I left feeling unsupported and disappointed in the level of advocacy I received. I would not recommend his services.”

I'll Never Know

His assistant basically ran me around in circles instead of being an adult and just saying "No we cannot accept your case at this time". I ended up going somewhere else that did an AMAZING job. It seems like I actually got the better deal out of this because clearly his work ethic is mirrored by his ...employees based on the reviews!

Terrible terrible terrible

Three simple words: DO NOT HIRE. Reed Prospere sells snake oil. I fired him after about 18 months of no help and him being generally unsuccessful in the eyes of a client, and he had a bad attitude the whole time to boot. He doesn't stay in contact, he's impatient, aloof, and does nothing but anger... the courts in which he visits. He's quick to tell you, the client, what a bad person you are -- I tell you this from real experience. There was only one thing he did successfully, keep my money. I hired a real attorney after him and promptly received great results. Do yourself a favor to avoid the heartache and DO NOT HIRE Reed Prospere!

Judgemental and Not Willing to Argue My Case

I hired Reed to defend me in a DWI case and felt that he had deemed me guilty from day one. He barely represented me and tried relentlessly to get me to strike a plead bargain with the DA. He did not want to argue, he just wanted me to stop fighting, accept a deal, and go away so he didn't have to ea...rn his pay.

Horable

I hired Mr. Prospere for a case, six months or so goes by and never once received any information from him or anything. I get a date for a grand jury in the mail, and have to inform him of it because he had no idea about it. I get an appointment set up with him the day before..... when I go see him h...e proceeds to beat around the bush wasting my time to eventually tell me, "oh I did not know it was in ----- county, I don't do that county those are the biggest ass holes down there", gave me my money back and sent me on my way. I am glad he did because my charges were dropped the very next day and he did not get any of my 3,500 for doing nothing. His reason for saying they are ass holes they are not considerate of out of town lawyers and just call people alphabetically so he would have had to wait. Did not seem like unreasonable people at all to me, just seems like he does not want to spend more then 30min around a client actually doing something. Also both times when I went to see him, when I hired him and when he dropped me without warning, he was completely unprofessional, constantly cussing until it just made him seem like an idiot, and when he dropped me he gave me my "whole file" that he had for me, which had nothing in it but the information sheet I had filled out that day and some universal information sheets he gives out thanking me for hiring him to represent him and talking about how communication between us is very important.... haha. Reed Prospere is a joke.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
