Meghan Townsend Burns

We are absolutely furious and deeply disappointed with Meghan T. Burns of Albin Oldner Law, PLLC in Frisco, Texas. We hired her specifically to fix a child support account discrepancy with the Texas Attorney General’s office that required litigation with the opposing party. This was not a complic...ated case and should have been a straightforward administrative fix once the final order was signed by a judge. Instead, we paid her firm over $60,000 for her “expertise.” We ultimately settled the matter outside of court, which should have been the end of it. But whatever Burns submitted to the Attorney General throughout the process was not corrected on their end. The account is still showing errors that she was paid handsomely to correct. When we contacted her about the mess she left behind, her response was that the only way to fix it was to hire her again and pay her more money for the job she should have done correctly the first time. This is not lawyering—this is a cash grab. Burns is board-certified in family law and holds herself out as a professional, yet she delivered incomplete, negligent work that has caused us ongoing stress, financial harm, and continued problems with child support enforcement. We trusted her with one of the most important issues in our family’s life, and she failed us completely. Do not waste your time or money on this attorney or this firm. There are far better options in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who actually finish what they start.
