Linda S. Aland has had a varied practice over the past 43 years. She was one of the first women in Texas to receive double board certification in Family Law (1977) and Civil Trial Law (1980). Working first in the civil trial arena in state and federal courts, Mrs. Aland expanded her practice to include Juvenile Law, Family Law, Elder Law, School Law and has, in the past few years, handled litigation of matters in Probate Courts. She has handled multiple jury trials and bench trials.
In a bench trial handled in 2013 in a real estate matter involving breach of fiduciary duty by a former husband to a former wife, she won an almost million dollar settlement for the former wife who had been cheated by her husband of proceeds from the sale of property that they had owned during marriage.
Her reputation is one of straight-talking, no nonsense advocate who refuses to make some of the "back room deals" that other lawyers try to do with their opponents. Frequently, those who oppose her in Court tell their clients that they will have a real fight on their hands if they do not work things out in mediation. The incentive to settle or actually try a case leads many opposing parties to settle.
Despite her reputation as a zealous advocate, Linda Aland has an active parallel "second career" as a short-term missionary to various countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, where she teaches Christian pastors and lay leaders and conducts women's conferences. She also actively works with the homeless in Dallas, Texas and in the Lousiana Correctional Institute for Women.

Wouldnt advise representation here
Very expensive, didnt know where the money was going, no one would ever explain where the money went, and ended up having her withdraw. It seemed she would make fights just to expand the case. The most communication I received was for new bills for large sums of money with untold end destination or w...
