Henry Exall IV

Henry Exall is an accomplished and innovative attorney committed to creating a better law firm experience. After more than two decades practicing both in top-tier law firm and in-house environments, Henry founded Exall+Wood to realize his vision of a truly different approach to legal representation. He has built a firm staffed by the finest caliber of attorney, who are afforded the flexibility and incentives to cater their legal services to their client’s true needs.  Henry and his colleagues have been repeatedly recognized for their distinct approach by being selected for the Best Law Firms list published in U.S News and World Report in 2015, 2016, 2017 and again in 2018 by Woodward White.

For more than 25 years, Henry’s practice has focused on corporate acquisition and divestiture transactions, public and private company investment transactions, corporate entity structuring and restructuring transactions, and corporate governance matters. Henry also works closely with entrepreneurial and high-growth clients to develop effective financial and operational strategies, identify acquisitions, establish acquisition valuations, structure and negotiate acquisition terms.  He holds the AV Preeminent (5.0 out of 5.0) Martindale-Hubbell rating from his peers in the legal profession. This top peer rating signifies the highest level of professional excellence for legal knowledge and ethical standards.

Henry has consistently dedicated time to high-level civic pursuits within the business community throughout his career.  Since its founding, he has served on the Board of Directors and as an officer of the Maverick Chapter of YPO Gold and currently serves as Chairman.  He similarly served the North Texas Chapter of YPO for over a decade.  Additionally, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Episcopal School of Dallas, the Thanksgiving Square Foundation as well as a number of other Dallas-based charitable enterprises.

Henry is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to law school, he earned his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University, where he graduated with highest honors and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.
