#1 ATTORNEY IN MY BOOK

Mr Woodard represented me as a court appointed attorney in Rockwall county. His professionalism and promptness exceeded my expectations. Because he did such a good job I fired my attorney in Dallas I had already paid who did nothing at all for me and hired Chris to represent me on 6 charges I had in ...Dallas county. If I would not have hired Chris for Dallas I would probably would still be sitting there. Unfortunately I have made many mistakes in my past & have dealt with a few attorneys. But by far Chris Woodard again with his professionalism, knowledge, honesty & experience is the best criminal defense attorney I have had. I recommend him 100% and put my full trust in him. I wish I would have known about Chris before I had paid double the price to an attorney who didn't care.

Outstanding defense work in a difficult, court-appointed case

In a very challenging murder trail, Mr. Woodward very ably defended our son. At this point Chris was still taking cases as a court-appointed attorney. While he would be paid only a small, set, fee Chris worked diligently over a two year period, and spent many, many hours either with our son, with us,... or involved in researching the case. In court he provided our son with an excellent defense, and while we had access to a very well known attorney, Chris did all that could be done to mount a careful, thoughtful, well-researched case. While we lost the case, Chris did far more than we ever expected, and went far beyond whatever he was officially paid to do by the court. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone needing an excellent, careful, considerate criminal defense attorney. Chris was also a helpful person, though, as he warned us at the beginning, he would not always have the time to keep us informed because he would be busy actually doing the work required to develop the case. But he visited our son in jail many times, and was always available whenever there was a real need. Chris did an excellent job while receiving little in pay from the court, and demonstrated his commitment to seeking justice in the most commendable way possible - by doing the hard work of legal defense when it really mattered. I have heard many stories about court-appointed lawyers: Chris was the antithesis of that, doing an excellent job and being a good, approachable human being at the same time. I would recommend him to anyone.
