Biography
An engineer and a second-generation intellectual property lawyer in Dallas, Texas, I regularly represent public and private companies of all sizes from around the country and outside the United States, including startup and early stage technology ventures, private equity and venture capital firms, and universities in all aspects of patenting, licensing, litigation and other activities that involve patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. Before starting Hubbard Law in 2012 I was a partner in the intellectual property sections of two large, general practice law firms in Dallas, Texas. The majority of my patent related experience has involved inventions in mechanical, electrical, computer software and business methods fields. I am also an adjunct professor, directing the SMU School of Law Patent Clinic, lead the Patent Law Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, serve as treasurer of the Dallas Bar Association's IP Section, and regularly plan and speak at continuing legal education events for IP lawyers.
