Ashton Renee McCary

Ashton McCary is a family law attorney at Goranson Bain Ausley in Dallas.

Ashton represents clients in amicable divorce, uncontested divorce, and contested divorce matters. Her clients include individuals who want to resolve their divorce without going to court and parents in high-conflict custody cases where the other parent's behavior is a concern. She serves Dallas, Collin, Denton, Rockwall, and Kaufman counties, including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Rockwall.

Before entering family law, Ashton spent a decade as a failure-analysis chemist and multi-disciplined engineer at Raytheon and Stanley Black & Decker. That technical background informs the precision and analytical care she brings to building each client's case — investigating the facts, working through the evidence methodically, and preparing well-structured presentations of her client's position.

During law school at SMU Dedman, Ashton served as Chief Counsel of the VanSickle Family Law Clinic, representing clients in divorce matters involving property division, spousal maintenance, and constructive fraud, and providing limited-scope counsel to pro se litigants and incarcerated mothers.
