Amanda Boylan started her professional career at the Dallas County District Attorney’s office in 2013 after receiving her JD from Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law. During her time at the DA’s office, she served in both the Misdemeanor and Felony Trial Divisions as well as Family Violence Division. In 2017, she realized her true passion was in defense and left the DA’s office to join the Public Defender’s Office so that she could advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. As both a former public defender and prosecutor, she is an experienced litigator who knows the ins and outs of the courtroom. And as stated in a Dallas Morning News article about her titled “Fights for Justice, Boxes for Fitness,” Amanda is prepared to go the distance to get her clients the justice they deserve.
She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, a UT Austin alum, a graduate of Plano East High School, and a fifth generation Dallasite. In her spare time, she volunteers at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and is a member of the Junior League of Dallas. She also enjoys yoga, pilates, and of course boxing.
