Gemma R. Galeoto

Gemma R. Galeoto is experienced in business, commercial, real estate and asbestos litigation, including court appearances, juries, discovery, mediations, depositions, hearings, dispositive motion practice, trial preparation and appeals. Before joining Simon Greenstone Panatier Bartlett PC, Gemma defended financial institutions in consumer mortgage litigation. Now, Gemma uses her trial skills to bring justice to individuals harmed by exposure to toxic substances through no fault of their own. Gemma is named a 2014 and 2015 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star by Texas Monthly, an honor reserved for less than 2.5% of the lawyers in Texas. As of 2015, Gemma prevailed on 53 Motions to Dismiss in federal court, 18 Motions for Summary Judgment in state and federal court, and won 33 trials. In January 2014, Gemma acted as first chair in a jury trial and obtained a favorable verdict for her client. Gemma has conducted over 25 depositions as of March 2015. Gemma earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Order of the Barristers National Award and won four Moot Court competitions. Gemma was named Fred C. Moss Advocate of the Year by the Board of Advocates and awarded the Best Speaker and Best Brief award. Before law school, Gemma graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University. Gemma volunteers with the SPCA of Texas, Paws in the City, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Gemma co-chaired the 2014 SPCA of Texas Paws Cause Silent Auction raising over $200,000 for the Mary Spencer Spay and Neuter Clinic. Gemma was a member of the 2013 DAYL Leadership class, whose class project raised over $50,000 for EPIC/ Habitat for Humanity.
