Hector A. Ramirez-Rivera is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of experience specializing in Social Security disability claims. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico, where he laid the foundation for his analytical and problem-solving skills. Following his undergraduate studies, Hector pursued a Juris Doctor at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law where he actively engaged in practical legal training and socially conscious initiatives.
During his time in law school, Hector demonstrated a commitment to social justice by working with the Environmental Law Clinic addressing pressing legal issues affecting the community. He also volunteered as a mentor for high school students aspiring to enter the legal field, imparting invaluable knowledge about the legal system, law, and the importance of social justice. Hector’s diverse experiences allowed him to gain a well-rounded legal education; he also served as a law clerk, providing assistance across various legals areas, including intellectual property, construction law, contracts and corporate law and Estate law, among others.
Upon receiving his law degree, Hector established his solo practice, focusing on helping individuals navigate the often-complex disability determination process before the Social Security Administration. This role ignited his passion for advocating for clients who face significant challenges in securing their rightful benefits. After relocating to Texas, Hector continued to practice Social Security disability law, where he has garnered a reputation for his compassionated approach and tireless advocacy.
Having served in the public sector, Hector returns to his true calling – accompanying and helping clients through one of the most challenging and overwhelming experiences in their lives. His dedication to providing support infused with compassion and empathy has made a profound impact on the lives of many individuals and families navigating the disability determination process. Fluent in Spanish, Hector effectively serves a diverse clientele, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder access to vital legal assistance. With a blend of professional expertise and personal passion, he continues to seek justice for his clients.
Mr. Ramirez-Rivera is admitted to practice law in both Texas and Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association.
Outside of the legal practice, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, immersing himself in history and science documentaries and literature. Hector is also a devoted dog dad to Miss Maple.
