Edwin Andrew Huffman

Edwin, known by all as "Ted", focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal courts, and assisting parties to resolve disputes before they reach the point of litigation.

Ted is a go-to associate in the Dallas office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP. His extensive experience has led to success in judicial forums across the country. His previous cases have involved numerous clients and a broad spectrum of subject matters, including securities violations, breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duties, breaches of confidentiality, fraud, tortious interference, class action and collective action proceedings, patent infringement, theft of trade secrets, and employment disputes.

Ted earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. During law school, Ted completed a judicial internship for Magistrate Judge Jeff Kaplan of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He also served as an executive board member for the law school’s Science & Technology Law Review, was a member of the winning team for SMU’s annual mock trial competition, and won his first lawsuit as a student attorney with the SMU Law Civil Clinic. Ted graduated with honors in 2014.

Prior to joining Hunton Andrews Kurth, Ted served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. During his time at the courthouse, he developed many of the skills that now make him a unique and integral member of the firm’s litigation section.

Ted is licensed to practice in Texas and admitted to appear in the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western federal district courts of Texas.
