Tanner Elise Hartnett

Tanner is a graduate of Ursuline Academy in Dallas. After graduation she left Texas for New York City graduating from Fordham University with a B.A. in International Political Economy and Peace and Justice Studies. She thenattended Texas Tech Law School to pursue her JD. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2013 and promptly joined her family at The Hartnett Law Firm. She has also been admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and received certification to serve as a mediator.

In law school, Tanner was an editor for the Texas Bank Lawyer journal.  She also participated in and won three moot court competitions: West Virginia Energy and Sustainability Moot Court competition (National Champions), Texas Young Lawyers Association’s Moot Court competition (State Champions), and Tom Hall Advanced Moot Court competition.  Notably, Tanner was recognized as the Best Oralist in each of the final rounds.

Currently, Tanner is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. She also enjoys giving back to the community through volunteering to take on cases through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

Outside of the office Tanner is involved with City Ballet and the Think Ahead Group. She also continues to give back to the community through her participation in the Junior League of Dallas. Recently she was nominated to the Board of Directors for Young Community Partners of Dallas.
