Stacy Arnold Dunlop

Stacy was a court appointed amicus who did nothing for the best interest of my kids. He basically collected $3600 and disappeared for the past 6 months. Once he appeared for the court appearance, he stated nothing needed to be changed when there was supporting evidence to overturn or grant more visi...tation time against the custodial parent. Stacy is nothing more than a SCAMMER and CON-ARTIST. I advise not hiring him for your legal services.

This saddens me to leave this review but it is necessary. Mr. Dunlop was consistently unprepared. The amount of documentation I submitted to him for my case should have been a slam dunk yet zero of this documentation was submitted to the courts. I had to do all the work outside of court and in court,... constantly reminding him of facts and attempting to make my request clear to the judge and other party on while on the stand. This is very difficult. He was unprepared in his questioning of the parties called to the stand and unprepared in his answers to the judge. I almost feel like I was not well represented because I'm a woman and he wants the case to have to go back to court. Please set clear expectations on communication upfront. This attorney will charge an hourly rate. Get the next steps in writing and I would recommend not paying in full. Ask for recommendations and search for reviews.

I consulted this lawyer, Stacy Dunlop, via phone regarding a family legal matter. I then provided my credit card and paid him $1,500 for a retainer and to represent me. Later that same day I shared the advice and his strategy with two other lawyers. Both said they felt his approach was wrong and ...flawed in several ways. I called Dunlop back that same day to and made him aware that I would not be using him. and asked for a refund. I also emailed him informing and requesting the same. I have followed up several times within the last seven months without any response. Hindsight is twenty twenty and I wish that I would have done a little more research. I moved too fast in retaining him. I believe I acted in this way because I was eager to resolve the family matter that he was to represent me in. If I would have done my research on him I would have quickly found out what kind of reviews he has from previous clients. I urge anyone who is considering doing business with him to check out his online reviews. When you call his published number you will be calling a voicemail to a cell phone. You will never get an answer on this line. I would urge anyone who needs an attorney to stay away from Stacy Dunlop. Should you decide to use his services please do not give him any money in advanced for retainer or promised work!!!
