Joel Wilson Reese

Joel Reese has a proven track record of delivering results to his clients through an efficient, common-sense approach to complex business disputes. Before founding RGM with his partners in 2011, Joel practiced for more than 10 years as a trial lawyer and member in Winstead PC—one of the largest commercial law firms in Dallas. Joel served as lead counsel in securing the seminal opinion from the Texas Supreme Court concerning the discovery of electronically stored information (“ESI”) in In re Weekley Homes, L.P., 295 S.W.3d 309 (Tex. 2009). He has represented oil and gas exploration and production companies, a publicly traded pharmaceutical company, national insurers, investors, and telecommunications companies in complex commercial disputes and environmental litigation before juries, judges, and arbitration panels. In a nationally publicized case, Joel defended an insurer and eight related parties in a nationwide class action involving approximately 14.6 million class members and $13 billion dollars in damages.
