Biography
I am licensed in Texas, Louisiana, New York, and D.C. I graduated from Paul M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1986. I then clerked for then Chief Judge Tom Stagg of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. After my clerkship, I moved to Dallas, Texas to work for Thompson & Knight LLP and have been with this firm my entire legal career. I started as a general trial lawyer doing defense work. Throughout years I also worked in the area of Intellectual Property, which is my main practice area today (and has been for about 15 years). Most of my litigation is on patent infringement cases (on both the plaintiff's and defense side of the docket). I am listed in Texas Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers of America and IAM 1000 on a consistent basis. I also work in the area of Art Law as an adjuct to Texas Arts Counsel and having ownership in JM Gallery, an Art Gallery located in One Arts Plaza.
