Eric Sean Tautfest

Eric S. Tautfest, Shareholder at Gray Reed & McGraw, P.C., focuses his practice on patent litigation on both the plaintiff and defendant sides of the docket. His industry litigation experience ranges from telecommunications to biotechnology to software, and numerous other technologies. Eric’s litigation experience also includes trademark and copyright cases, as well as complex business litigation, including class action, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and other business claims. Eric has significant litigation, trial and licensing experience and has served as settlement counsel in numerous patent cases. Eric earned his J.D. in 2000 from Southern Methodist University School of Law and his B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1996. He is a Barrister member of The Honorable Barbara M. G. Lynn American Inn of Court, and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Texas Bar, the Dallas Bar Association, the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He is licensed to practice in Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern districts of Texas, the Federal Circuit and Fifth Circuit courts of appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
