Ms. Torres, We respectfully dispute the accuracy of this review. AMS Law Group was not your attorney in the underlying matter at the time of settlement. Nevertheless, after obtaining consent from your counsel and based on the financial hardship you represented to us, we voluntarily agreed to provide you with all of our attorney’s fees despite having no legal obligation to do so. The issue was never a refusal to pay. We repeatedly requested identity verification before releasing funds, consistent with our legal, ethical, tax-reporting, and trust-account obligations. Our records reflect that you declined available verification methods, including electronic and video verification, including FaceTime or Zoom and requested that funds be sent to a third party without completion of the required verification process and without providing valid information, and subsequently advised that you could not participate in a video verification due to “severe weather.” We will be submitting the relevant emails, correspondence, and supporting documentation to Avvo, which demonstrate false statement contained in your review, our efforts to complete payment, the verification options offered, and the responses received.
