Matthew Briant Herzog

Matt Herzog grew up in North Dallas. After receiving Bachelor Degrees in Political Science and Russian Language from an out of state university, Matt returned to the Dallas area to study law at Southern Methodist University. During law school, he was active in interscholastic advocacy competitions, representing SMU at competitions in Florida, Texas, and California. Upon graduation, cum laude, Matt was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a nationwide honor given to top student advocates.

Before finding a home at The Barber Law firm, Matt worked at a Dallas defense firm funded by the largest insurance company in the world. There, he learned how cases are defended and the circumstances under which defendants pay to settle lawsuits. Matt now uses this unique insight to his clients’ advantage.

Matt has represented clients in cases involving negligence, product liability, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and other personal injury matters.

He enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and studying Russian.
