Jonathan Buchanan

Jon Buchanan is a native Texan whose dedication to service and leadership was forged during his multiple deployments to overseas combat zones as a U.S. Marine Corps infantryman.

Following his military service, Mr. Buchanan pursued an extensive education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Southwestern University, followed by a Juris Doctor (with a concentration in Business Law) and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Buchanan began his legal career under the mentorship of a prominent West Texas personal injury attorney. Driven to master courtroom advocacy, he then became an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, where he managed high-volume caseloads, litigated dispositive motions, and served as first- and second-chair trial counsel in multiple jury trials, holding criminals accountable for their actions.

His frontline trial experience fueled a lifelong commitment to fighting for the vulnerable and standing for what is right, which he now channels into advocating for victims of civil wrongdoing as a personal injury attorney at The Barber Law Firm. Mr. Buchanan stands ready to take on the insurance companies and lawyers that attempt to steamroll victims of negligence. Outside of the office, Mr. Buchanan enjoys woodworking, working on vehicles, watching movies, and above all, spending time with his wife and two dogs.
