Client went to court without attorney and pleaded guilty to DUI Drugs then got violated on probation. Luckily she called me and I determined she was never guilty in the first place. I filed a motion ... to withdraw her guilty plea because the drug she was on was not even a controlled substance that violated the law. In the end, her probation violation was dismissed, her plea was withdrawn, the case was dismissed and all fines and responsibility fee were returned to her. This was the first motion of this type in this court and when other lawyers caught on it sparked an avalanche of similar motions.

When prosecutor saw their case falling apart they offered a low-level misdemeanor with no sex offender registration.
