Biography
As founding attorney of Bishop Law Counsel, Josh Bishop handles a variety of corporate matters and business and real estate transactions, in addition to serving in a fractional general counsel capacity.
The firm specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and corporate law, frequently representing sellers in the sale of their businesses to larger corporate buyers. These sales are typically to larger corporate buyers such as private equity firms or strategic buyers. Given that the legal documents often run into the hundreds of pages and the diligence process is intense, the firm’s services help advise clients and protect their legal interests against some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated buyers and law firms.
Over the last decade, Josh has accumulated significant experience in dental service organization (DSO) transactions across various life-cycle stages. He has represented hundreds of businesses and business owners – including dental, veterinary, optometry and other healthcare providers, as well as a variety of other businesses – through every stage of the corporate lifecycle, from legal formation and growth to acquisition and exit. He has also engaged in numerous real estate negotiations for buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants.
Bishop Law Counsel’s clients rely on the firm for sound legal advice, committed deal negotiation, precise internal corporate formalities and documentation, and mitigation of legal risk. Fees are structured as hourly or fixed/flat, depending on what is most appropriate in each case.
