Difficult to answer without reviewing docs. It is possible that one notice is sufficient.
If two people sign a lease for a rental property and one moves out before lease is over is mover still responsible for lease?

Both are usually jointly and severally liable. If moving tenant defaults, remaining tenant is responsible to LL for all. Remaining tenant can sue...

I agree with my colleague. You'll probably need to sue in small claims court. If it helps, you can give them unfavorable reviews.

Maybe you can coordinate a neighborhood watch and work with the police on this. Otherwise talk to the landlord about early termination.

No. You would also need to adversely possess the house for the statutory period. In Texas it would be ten years.

I am assuming that since your daughter didn't pay rent that "THEY" is Section 8? If that is the case, you need to contact her Section 8 caseworker...
