Get a better Attorney

Okay so I know this attorney does offer some great prices, but it's just not worth it if you have a divorce to go through with children or any other assets. You need an attorney that is going to help you understand what the paperwork says and what it means. You need to understand about your mortgage ...and what happens when one of you keeps it or one of you doesn't. You need to understand that even if you have your ex spouse take responsibility for the loan then still means your name is on the loan unless they do an assumed loan (which lenders rarely do) or make them add wording in so the other person must refinance! Otherwise it's pretty hard to buy a house because you will still have another mortgage on your credit report. Obviously if your main goal for choosing this attorney is for the cost, the money you save up front will cost you in the end if you don't get your paperwork straight the first time. And who really wants to go back to court for a situation that could have been avoided had you picked better representation the beginning.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
