Not worth it

I closely followed a family’s experience with this attorney during a criminal case, and based on what I observed, I would strongly encourage potential clients to research carefully before hiring him. The family paid approximately $2,000 for representation but experienced significant communication ...issues. Calls reportedly went unanswered, requests for updates were difficult to obtain, and there was considerable confusion regarding hearings and case strategy. Particularly concerning were reports that a bond hearing was canceled despite the client’s desire to pursue release, and later requests to revisit the issue were declined. The family also reported that the attorney was unwilling to visit the client in jail, allegedly stating that waiting to meet with him was “not worth it.” The attorney’s interactions with the family were also described as confrontational and unprofessional, including yelling, profanity, and abruptly ending phone calls. The family ultimately terminated the representation and hired new counsel. Based on what I observed throughout the process, I would not recommend this attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
