Dakota is a highly organized, passionate and effective attorney that you would be blessed to have on your side!

Should you find yourself in the predicament that you need an experienced and highly esteemed Collin County family law/divorce attorney, I highly recommend Dakota Mayr of Pfister Family Law. Dakota is a key player in this cohesive team of professionals that are not only family law experts but com...passionate humans who understand the toll and stress that divorce brings to families. They don’t assume a cookie cutter approach to their cases nor do they pursue any agenda other than yours. If your divorce is high conflict with a lot at stake, it will also be imperative that you have an aggressive litigator who will show up prepared for the fight of your life to win. Dakota knows that the winning is in the details. She knows what is needed, know how to find it, and how to get it. In my case, Dakota and our team was able to prove in court that a gross amount of our marital assets had been hidden or squandered and I was awarded reimbursement. My story is unfortunately not atypical. I was a stay at home Mom for 18 years and found out that my husband committed adultery, more times than he could recall. He had also been hiding an addiction to porn and prostitutes. I decided it was best to leave the marriage as we had two young daughters at the time. Upon sharing my decision to leave, he became angry and hateful, no longer humbled or remorseful. Our divorce went on for three years as he refused to produce discovery, refused to coparent and ultimately successfully alienated my now 15 year old beautiful daughter. The day I told him that I would not be staying in our marriage, he filed for divorce on grounds of MY infidelity,(which was laughable), changed the locks in our home and prevented me from seeing or speaking to our girls, for seven months. How is this even possible? Why so long you ask? I didn’t have the means to retain an attorney, although he easily used our company’s money to pay for his. This was a brutal and humiliating fight, that required representation from an advocate that had as much tenacity for good as my former spouses for my destruction. Dakota and her team, along with my therapist, are the glue that kept me together throughout the arduous process that ultimately lead to justice being served. After three years of living in fear that I would have nothing in the end, I was awarded the proceeds from the sale our of home, primary custody of one our daughters and shared custody for the other, my family vehicle, child support, monthly maintenance for three years, and the reimbursement for the squandered assets. I was also granted the divorce on sole grounds of my husbands infidelity, and he was ordered to pay my legal fees. Everything that I thought I lost, was addressed, fought for, and won by Dakota and her team. Without Dakota and Pfister Family Law I was headed to certain bankruptcy, potential homelessness and the risk of losing both of my daughters was very plausible. And although the alienation of my oldest was accomplished, I have hope that we will as well be restored, and Dakota will be by my side in the courtroom again to bring her home. You can’t go wrong choosing Dakota to represent you, and all that could in my case, didn’t, and I am forever grateful.
