Ekaterina V. Kechkina

I am an immigration attorney and former USCIS officer with more than 10 years of experience in U.S. immigration law. I have spent my career working in immigration from multiple angles, both in private practice and inside the government, and that perspective continues to shape the way I represent my clients today.

Before opening my practice, I worked at a private immigration firm where I handled family-based and employment-based matters, asylum applications, waivers, and other complex cases. I also represented clients in immigration court. In 2018, I joined USCIS, where I served first as an Asylum Officer and later as a Senior Asylum Officer, handling difficult and high-stakes cases. That experience gave me a practical understanding of how immigration officers review evidence, assess credibility, and make decisions.

As an immigrant myself, I understand how deeply immigration matters affect a person’s family, work, stability, and future. My goal is to provide clients with clear, practical guidance and help them navigate the immigration process with confidence.
