Jazmine A. Smith

Jazmine Smith is a dedicated and highly skilled criminal defense attorney who brings years of prosecutorial experience and a passion for justice to her role as Senior Trial Lawyer at The Crowder Law Firm. Before joining the firm, Ms. Smith served as an Assistant District Attorney in both Fort Bend County and Travis County, where she prosecuted hundreds of serious felony cases and developed extensive courtroom experience in the Crimes Against Children Division.

During her tenure as a prosecutor, Ms. Smith handled some of the most sensitive and complex cases in the criminal justice system, including sexual assault of a child, child abuse, and internet crimes against minors. Her work in these divisions gave her invaluable insight into how the State builds cases—knowledge she now uses to skillfully defend her clients and protect their rights.
Ms. Smith earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she served as Vice President of the 3L Class Leadership Board and was an active member of the Criminal Law Clinic, Innocence Project, and Mock Trial Team. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Cumberland University and studied Political Science at the University of Missouri–Saint Louis, where she was a collegiate basketball player.
