Laurel Arnold Clement

I am unable to even say much about her legal abilities as we never got that far in my case. I hired Laurel upon referral from a mutual acquaintance for my divorce. We both thought that her having a "counseling license too" would be additionally helpful when navigating a possibly emotional divorce ca...se. She was absolutely impossible to communicate and work with as she was disrespectful, rude, arrogant, opinionated and insulting every time I spoke with her, emailed her or tried to ask her a question. I was truly shocked and have never met anyone like that before. I thought maybe it was because I was a special education kindergarten teacher and I was not used to that kind of speech or tone before but I had someone else speak to her as well and she was extremely insulting and indignant as well. And to think she was going to represent me! I still haven't gotten over my extremely upsetting experiences with her!

Great initial consultation as she allayed all my fears of going through a divorce with someone who had become mentally incapacitated. In fact she was too good as the Petition and Temporary orders she wrote up were granted by the judge in three days delivering exactly what she promised. Unfortunately ...she delegated the rest of the case to a young attorney and the pro se respondent wouldn't cooperate only demanding a full jury trial. We moved forward without him rather than delcaring him incapacitated first. Now he has filed a Bill of Review appeal with experienced representation that has also tried numerous cases into Mental Health court.
