It doesn't take a lot if you are convicted of certain felonies.

It is unlikely the case has been decided it will take at least 20 years to sponsor a sibling. Do a case status check online and update the address.

Best bet is to use a citizen or permanent resident as a joint sponsor. They will need to file a joint sponsor affidavit and provide their tax return.
