You could try do a freedom of information act request.
I find out that my first name on I-94 has been misspelled.Can I apply for AOS with that error or should I get it corrected 1st?

I would apply for adjustment and use your correct names on the forms and just submit the I94 and make a note that it is incorrectly spelled on the I94
